The oldest settlement of the southern coast of the island. The resident were doing wine-growing and fishing, and they say that they are the best mariners. The cherubic monastery "Gracious Blessed Virgin" (was built in 1520) which is a museum at the same time, offers unique spectacle. The main feature is the altar-piece of Tintoretto which was made in 1563. When we get to the centre, bars, cafés, shops, goldsmiths offer their services. In the harbor the Branislav Deškovič gallery is waiting for the visitors, where the tourists can meet the old and the contemporary art. The most beautiful tiny gravelly beach of the Adriatic Sea the "Golden Horn" (Zlatni Rat, which is 634 meters long) can be found here. The beach is a perfect surfing paradise; sometimes they hold continental tirades there. The diving is popular here but the lovers of Jet Ski can rent sweeping machines too.
