This settlement is a shepherd abode in reality. The first settlers were on run from the ottomans. The harbor has had big traffic in the ancient times. The family house of the poet Vladimir Nazor (1876-1949) can be found here. He had built the lookout tower with the three concrete posts and "fríza" (a kind of relief) which is called the "Three sisters". The old Bobovišće village was developed on a sunny place above the sea where you can find the temple of St. George (1656-1696) which was enlarged in 1914. After 15 minutes walking to the direction of Milna, at the old Croatian temple of St. Martin (235 m), you can see a nice view to Brač and in the direction of Šolta and Vis: to the islands and the sea.
